The Chelsea Bulldog wrestling team went 0-2 late last week but wrestled with a lot of heart.
Coach Adam French said, “We first faced off against a very tough, physical Lincoln team, but lost 60-18.
After that we regrouped to take on Pioneer who we lost to over the weekend 33-36. We wrestled extremely tough but came up one point short, losing 34-35.”
Going undefeated (2-0) on the day for Chelsea were Steve Bleise at 145 lbs, Zach Bennett at 160 lbs, and Ryan Eisley at 171/189 lbs.
“I was particularly proud of how well Zach Bennett wrestled,” the coach said. “He’s a sophomore who just cracked the lineup.”
