Last week, the Chelsea High School JV Quiz Bowl finished an unprecedented season by finishing 1st and 2nd in the Southeast Michigan Tri-City Quiz Bowl league.
Because of an abundance of players, Chelsea entered 2 teams in the league for the first time. The A team of Charlotte Tierney, Gio Bickle, Jack Jordan, Leo Bauske and Tess Matthews finished with a record of 10-2 including a string of 8 in a row to finish the season. The team broke the JV record for points in a game with a 420-40 win over Howell B and earlier in the season Tierney tied a JV record by scoring 8 toss ups (of 18) in a match against Jonesville.
The B team of Caleb Grimm, Doug Beechey, Grace Krugh, Jack Orlandi, Mckenna Mahony and Zak Sing finishes the season at 7-5 including upset wins over Chelsea A and Howell A.
