lights-up-shop-local-logo(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bridget Favre for the information in this story.)

The 30th Annual Hometown Holiday, presented by Golling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Chelsea, will take place Dec. 2-4 throughout Chelsea.

As crowds enjoy the many Hometown Holiday activities, they will also find businesses promoting “Lights Up and Shop Local,” a new initiative to introduce Hometown Holiday visitors to everything Chelsea businesses have to offer.

Participating businesses will be decked out in holiday splendor to warm your hearts and get you in the holiday spirit.

Look for “Lights Up and Shop Local” window signs in participating businesses.

Several business also plan to give back a portion of sales during Hometown Holiday weekend to Chelsea schools in a program called “Chelsea Gold,” which was initiated by Vogel’s and Foster’s owner Mike Jackson six years ago. Look for gold and blue balloons to find businesses participating in the “Chelsea Gold” program.

A special thank you to sponsors participating in this event, including 5 Healthy Towns, Chelsea Wellness Center, Heydlauff’s Appliances and Vogel’s and Foster’s.
