Donations, reservations being accepted for the lacrosse team’s ‘Outdoorsman Dinner’

Dinner-Flyer(Chelsea Update would like to thank  Joe Koengeter for the information in this story.)

The Chelsea Lacrosse Team will host its 2nd annual “Outdoorsman’s Dinner” fundraiser on Sept. 14 at the Chelsea Fairgrounds.

Head Lacrosse Coach Joe Koengeter says that lacrosse like other club teams, are 100 percent self-funded, and tickets to the event are $50.

This is not a wild game dinner, he says, rather, a catered dinner “like a wedding.”

However, there will be various hunting guns and equipment raffled off as well as a lot of non-hunting items as well.

This is an adult’s-only event, Koengeter says, and attendees must be 18 or older and 21 years old or older to “consume spirits.”

The Chelsea Lacrosse Association is a non-profit organization and any donations are tax deductible.

The coach says, “Anyone who fills a table of eight, will be entered into a drawing for one of three cash prizes.

“Last year, the first prize was $150 cash,” he says.

Anyone interested in attending the event or donating can contact Koengeter at  [email protected].
