July 15: Jacob’s Farm Fresh Hosting Lavender Festival

Jacob’s Farm Fresh is planning its first Lavender Festival at the farm on 475 N. Fletcher Road from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event features a fun family day of lavender picking, crafts, gifts, classes, food and vendors.

Event Highlights include:
1. Lavender Picking: Take a stroll through our picturesque lavender field and hand pick your own bundle of lavender.
2. DIY Lavender Crafts & Bouquet Bar: Unleash your creativity at our craft station, where you can make your own lavender sachets, wreaths, and custom bouquets.
3. Local gifts: Explore our farm market featuring lavender themed products from local vendors as well as seasonal produce and gifts.
4. “How to make Lavender Wreaths” by Anna at 1 PM. (more info TBD)
5. Vendors: Local vendors selling their hand-crafted products and edible snacks to enjoy on the farm or take home.

Vendors include:
*Smokey Michigan food vendor
*Lakehouse Bakery
*Neaners Weaners will be serving up food
*Face painting by Motor City Kitty
*Good Time Kettle Corn
*Smellz so good Candles
*MLO Concessions which features fresh squeezed lemonade and lavender lemonade.
*Happy Trails beverage service which will be selling coffee, iced coffee and an assortment of teas.
*Shelly Robbins hand made knickknacks
* Goats milk lotions and body scrubs

Admission: There will be a nominal entry fee of $5 per person. Lavender picking is an additional $5 per small bundle or $10 per large bundle. Children under 12 are free, but free entry does not include a lavender bundle.
• Lavender Picking: Picking is a separate charge. Additional bundles can be purchased if desired for $5 per small bundle or $10 per large bundle. Prepicked bundles also available.
• Parking: Parking will be available at our farm. Please follow the signage for parking access to the fields.
• What to Bring: We recommend wearing comfortable footwear for walking through the fields, and don’t forget to bring your own scissors or shears for harvesting the lavender. Cold beverages and Water available in our farm stand.
Admission does not include cost for items from vendors.
