Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, presented by Rick Taylor Real Estate – Reinhart Realtors continues its free summer concert series Thursday, June 28 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m.

Professional artists perform at nine staged areas located throughout downtown Chelsea featuring music, dance, and family entertainment.

The diverse music line-up features Amy Grace, a singer-songwriter of folk and acoustic pop roots, performing at the East Alley stage, and the rock group Seven Bridges at the Glazier building.

The Big Band Theory will be performing jazz and swing music at the Clocktower Gazebo. Also see a dynamic performance, featuring viola and marimba, by Dede and the Dream at South Street.

A new band to Sounds and Sights, Rock Jones, will be performing at E. Middle Street, featuring a mix of rock, R and B, and Motown music.

Don’t miss Aviary Aerial and Circus Arts at the Chelsea District Library’s Korner Stage. Using fabric, ropes and hoops, Aviary crew members move gracefully through the sky in this circus-esque aerial performance.

There is something for the whole family including Magic Joe at the Kids stage in the Clocktower Complex and unique balloon animals created by 3 Generations Twisters.

Spectators wishing to learn to draw are encouraged to visit the Chelsea Chalk Art area beneath the Chelsea iconic Clocktower on Main Street. Chalk and drawing examples are provided for free to all ages and levels of expertise. The theme on June 28 is “How to draw Disney® Characters”.

There are several new sights around town, including the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce’s Guitars for Good, sponsored by Tammy Lehman of Lehman and Scheffler Real Estate Services. Local nonprofits decorated acoustic guitars and have them displayed at various businesses throughout Chelsea. Visitors can vote on their favorite guitar and enter into a drawing to win the guitar for one dollar. The proceeds will be given to the 12 charities.

After Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, SRSLY Cinema presents free outdoor movies at dusk. This week SRSLY presents Moana (PG).
