The last two weeks the Chelsea JV lacrosse team went 3-1, and brought the team’s season record to 4-4.

On April 18, the Bulldogs faced a strong Dexter team and came out on top 8-7.  The defense played well and the offense was led by sophomore Shane Nold with 3 goals, said coach Jim Breining.

On April 23, Chelsea hosted Tecumseh. The Bulldogs tied the game 3-3 in the 4th quarter though Tecumseh got a late goal to take the 4-3 win.

On Wednesday, April 25, the team made the long trek to Temperance to play Bedford. “We didn’t play our best game though were fortunate to come out with a 7-4 win,” the coach said.

Shane Nold lead the way with 3 goals and four others chipped in with one goal each, including sophomore Alex Lewis with his first score of the season.

On Friday, April 27, the Bulldogs traveled to East Lansing.

“We started slow though picked it up and outscored the Trojans 10-1,” Breining said.

Defensively, John Davis, Jack Krauss, Gabe Vowles and Nick Tolliver set the tone playing a very solid game, the coach said.

Offensively, Chelsea was led by Mitchell Sumner with 3 goals and sophomores Shane Nold and Andy Kosowski with 2 goals each.
