After Thompson’s Pizzeria was chosen as MLive’s Best Pizza restaurant in Washtenaw County, MLive reporter John Gonzalez visited the restaurant Tuesday to give the pizza a personal taste test.

Here’s the story about his visit.

And, here’s what Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Bob Pierce had to say about this wonderful award and the Mlive crew’s visit to Chelsea.

“How great is it that our community rose to the occasion for one of our most respected business owners to make Thompson’s Pizza the “Best Pizza in Ann Arbor,” an award sponsored by MiLive,” he said.

“But don’t be misled thinking this was an award for Lynda (Collins) based on all of the wonderful things she does for the community.  No way … it was because Thompson’s makes dynamite pizza.”
