Chelsea Police have released the photo (above) of the suspect in the Chelsea Antique Mall coin robbery, which took place earlier in the week.

About $3,000 in coins was taken in a break-in that’s believed to have occurred after 7 p.m. Sunday night and 7:30 a.m. Monday morning.

This was the best photo available from the camera feed inside the mall said Police Chief Ed Toth, who explained that the time stamp and date on the photo is incorrect.

Toth said it’s hard to tell much of anything about the suspect other than it looks like the person might be wearing a stocking over his face.

A $500 reward has been offered for the arrest and conviction of this perpetrator. The break-in and theft took place after the burglar smashed a north side glass door.
