Publisher’s Message: Chelsea Update passes 6-month mark

A scene from Saturday's Festival of Tables. Full story on Monday.

The re-launch of Chelsea Update is now 6 months and thousands of stories old.

And I’m still smiling every day writing these stories and taking the photos.

If you like what you’ve been reading, I hope that you will make a donation of any amount to support its continued success. For those who might not know it, I gave up a full-time job with benefits at another news organization to re-launch Chelsea Update for you.

So when you’re paying your other bills, please consider making out a check to Chelsea Update and sending it to Lisa Allmendinger, publisher, 18829 Bush Road, Chelsea, MI 48118. It’s through donations from readers and advertising from businesses that I’m able to continue providing you with All the News that’s Fit to Post about Chelsea.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all the advertisers who have taken a chance on this little news site and supported my efforts. I couldn’t continue to do this without you. The site was redesigned last month to give all the advertisers greater visibility and I hope that readers will support these businesses as they have supported my effort.

Happy reading.
