Roy Kothe Broesamle of Grass Lake, age 90, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014 at Arbor Hospice.
He was born Nov. 8, 1923 at the family home on Kilmer Road, the son of William & Martha (Kothe) Broesamle.
Roy attended Reimenschneider Country School and graduated from Chelsea High School in 1941.
For a time he worked for his uncle, Lawrence Boettner. He served in the US Army from March 5, 1945 to Nov. 23, 1946, where he was a personal bodyguard for Judge Parker in the Nuremberg Trials. He returned home to work the farm with his father and brother Allen, which he did until the time of his death.
