On Wednesday, Jan. 9 from 7-9 p.m., Susan Betz will present “Herbs: For Pleasure and Purpose” at the Chelsea Depot, 125 Jackson St.

The event is open to everyone but Evening Primrose Garden Club members can attend for free and non-members are asked to pay $5.

Betz lives in Jonesville, Mich. and is a Master Gardener, author and garden communicator, who has specialized in herbs and native plants for more than 35 years.

She will present a lively hands-on teaching approach to the joy of growing and using herbs for pleasure and purpose in home landscapes and gardens. Her presentation will cover the fundamentals of choosing herbs that blend with and complement your lifestyle and home landscape.

Choosing the right plant, for the right place and the right person.
