Lane Animal Hospital will help pet owners check their pet’s microchip and information on Saturday, Aug. 15 from 8-11 a.m. during National ‘Check the Chip Day.”
Microchips greatly increase the chances that you’ll get your pet back if he or she is lost or stolen … but a microchip only works if its registration information is accurate, according to information about the event.
The animal hospital is offering complimentary microchip scanning and if you would like to have your pet chipped, hospital staff will provide the service for the cost of the chip, which is $45.
All pet owners are invited to this event that will take place outside under a tent at the veterinary hospital at 701 North Main St.
