For what Varsity Track Coach Eric Swager believes is the fourth year in a row, the Chelsea varsity Boy’s Track and Field team has gone undefeated in dual meets after downing previously undefeated Lincoln, 114-23 Tuesday night.

“Lincoln came in as a very good team, but chose to rest some guys for this Friday’s SEC final meet,” said coach Eric Swager, who added, “Therefore, the close battle never really materialized.”

He said, “It was a great day for track, and some top-notch performances were turned in on the guys side.”

Winners included Dave St. Pierre, who out-dualed a quality Lincoln opponent in the pole vault, Adam Bowersox, Miles Fischer and Matt Proegler in the distance events, and hurdlers Noah Van Reesema and Jordan Niehoff.

Zach Skogheim, James Biller, and Michael Smith rounded out our individual event winners.

More impressive was the large slew of JV runners who clocked lifetime best performances, the coach said, adding, “The majority of distance runners had PR performances, as well as many throwers and vaulters.”

The Bulldogs now head into the big meets – the SEC Friday and regionals next week.

“We have a shot at both, if we hit the competition with all guns a blazin’,” Swager said.

Below are all the results.
