Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights, presented by Golling Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Chelsea, kicks off its free summer concert series tomorrow, June 9 from 6:30- 8:30 p.m.
Professional artists perform at 11-staged areas located throughout downtown Chelsea featuring music, dance, comedy, and family entertainment.
The Open Mic stage will return this year to West Middle Street in the lot next to West Side Gym and Fitness Center.
There is something for the whole family including face painting by Dee Dee the Clown and Face Painting Robot, as well as free balloon animals for the kids by 3 Generations Twisters.
In partnership with Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase, the Chelsea District Library opens with standup comic David Dyer on the Library lawn at Katie’s Korner.
In addition to the live entertainment, visitors are able to interact with the SculptureWalk Chelsea, a self-guided walking tour of 12 juried sculptures.
New this year, Chelsea Chalk Art will hold themed drawing seminars each week during Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights. The first theme will be “Magical and Mythical Creatures” and will be located beneath the Clocktower.
