The Beach Middle School cross country teams competed well at the SEC Jamboree No. 3 hosted by Pinckney.
The girls team finished fifth out nine teams and beat arch rival Dexter by five points. All-time best performances were made by Amanda Dosey, Julia Kause, and Julia Hanselman, which helped the team.
The boys team placed eighth out nine teams. There were solid performances by Nicholas Spruce, Bram Hartsuff, and Alex Werschkly.
In the reserve race, the boys finished sixth out of eight teams. Personal records and season bests were made by Gabe Muckel, Stephen Levine, and Ed Beauchamp.
