(Chelsea Update would like to thank Jamie Lane for the information in this story.)

The Chelsea  Community Fair Board is already hard at work preparing for the 2014 Chelsea Community Fair, which will take place Aug. 19-Aug. 23.

The fair will have something for everyone, including  all of the annual favorites, which make this community event one of the best fairs in Michigan.

The Fair Board is anxious to fill the very popular Merchant Barn with local businesses including retailers, service providers, contractors, home businesses, new businesses and local service organizations.

The Chelsea Fair Merchant Barn is a fantastic venue to sell your products, advertise your services, introduce the public to your new business or educate visitors about your service organization.

The five-day fair entertains thousands of visitors from Chelsea and surrounding areas.

Consider “sharing” a space with another business or group if you are unable to be on site each day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., which are the hours that the barn is open.

The Fair Board is interested in having as many participants as possible.

This year, there will be some cosmetic changes made to each entrance of the Merchant Barn to attract as many visitors as possible.

Monetary awards and ribbons are also given each year to the best displays in the Merchant Barn. This monetary award can help defray some of the cost of renting a space, which is already quite reasonable considering the amount of exposure your business or organization will achieve.

For questions on how you can sign up for the 2014 Chelsea Community Fair Merchant Barn, please e-mail Jamie at [email protected] .

And remember, the barn is filled on a first-come, first-served basis – so make your reservations now.

Hope to see you at the fair.
