Chelsea girls track and field downs Lincoln, loses to Dexter

The Chelsea girls track and field team came away with a win against Lincoln and a loss to Dexter in a dual meet on Tuesday.

Chelsea downed Lincoln, 103-33 but lost to Dexter 83-54.

Chelsea scored in 16 of the 17 events against Lincoln with an almost complete sweep of the field events. Also, Chelsea did very well in the hurdle races led by sophmore Kendra Patterson against Lincoln.

Against Dexter, Chelsea fell short to the defending league champion in a few key matchups.

Highlights: freshman Ava Woodard threw 26′ 8″ in the shot put and 75′ 2″ in the discus, freshman Makayla Kegerreis ran the 200m in 27.48, which placed 2nd against Lincoln and Dexter, and junior Morgan Kurth who led the distance group in the 3200m run with a time of 12:33.69 (a personal record).
