July 27 Rec It Tuesdays: An Evening of Pickleball

File photo. Gary Leonard, Chelsea’s pickleball ambassador.

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Kristina Martin for the information in this story.)

On Tuesday, July 27 at 6 p.m. head to the Beach Middle School tennis courts for an evening of pickleball as part of Rec It Tuesdays.

Participants should head to the courts from the Freer Road side of Beach Middle School, since the road in front of the school is under construction.

The Chelsea Area Friends for Recreation invites you to bring friends and family for an evening of play in a fun match of pickleball.

The event is free and Wolverine Pickleball along with the Chelsea Senior Center pickleball volunteers will be there to help people learn the game if they’ve never played before.

Wolverine Pickleball is also providing equipment or people can bring their own.

Everyone who participates will be entered to win a pickleball paddle set. It will be very low key and meant to be a fun event. All levels welcome to join in the fun.

This is a great game for all ages, and no prior experience is necessary to play.

This event is sponsored by Chelsea Community Education and Recreation and Wolverine Pickleball.
