Mark your calendars: April 20 document shredding event to help Scout Troop 425

Shredding-Ad-for-Scouts-2013(1)

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Cheryl Quinn for the information in this story.)

As you put the finishing touches on your tax preparations or do some spring cleaning, do you find yourself with lots of pieces of paper that need to be securely shredded?

Hang onto them until April 20 and then head to Chelsea Boy Scout Troop 425 secure shredding event, which will help them earn money to buy new tents.

You’ll be supporting a good cause and getting rid of those pesky documents with important numbers on them at the same time.

For the second time, the scouts will be working with Shred Legal, a commercial shredding company, on the southeast corner of Old US-12 and Main Street in the post office parking lot.

In fact, you can watch as your documents are turned into a fine powder.

The shredding event takes place on April 20 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and the cost is $4 per shopping bag or $5 per copy-paper size box.

So, please mark your calendar and bring your documents to this event that combines the secure service of a professional shredding company and helps the Chelsea scouts.
