Oct 2: Meet the Board of Education candidates night

Be sure to mark Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. on your calendars and attend the Chelsea Education Foundation‘s “Meet the Candidates Night.”

The event will take place in the Washington Street Education Center Board Room beginning at 7 p.m. and is expected to last about an hour and a half.

There are four candidates running for two seats on the Board of Education. They are: Incumbent Board President Steve Olsen, Dana Emmert, Laura Bush and Kathy Keinath.

Current Board Member Jeff Crowder is not seek re-election.

This is a chance to meet the candidates and learn more about why they have decided to run for these positions.

The CEF hosts the event but does not endorse any candidates.”The CEF is interested in helping to promote public awareness of candidate opinions prior to the election on Nov. 6,” according to information about the event.

The format is a question-and-answer session with a moderator facilitating.
