Trilian Krug sets Beach school record during SEC Jamboree #3

The Beach Middle School girls cross country team finished second out of 10 teams with 70 points at the SEC Jamboree #3 held at Indian Creek Park in Bedford on Wednesday.

Trilian Krug lead the team placing 2nd overall with a new school record of 12:04. (The previous record was 12:15.)

Seren Angus and Lauren Thompson improved their personal records by 30 seconds to a minute-plus to help the team. (Seren now has 11th fastest time in school history with a time of 13:01.)

The girls reserve team placed 4th out of 7 teams with 126 points. The team was lead by Sonja Schemahorn and Ireland Potter each setting PRs.

Helen Sparks-Jackson and Bella Hagen each improved their season best times by more than a minute.

The Beach boys team placed 4th out of 10 teams with 113 points.

Connell Alford lead the team by placing 1st overall in the race.

Jackie Dell moved up throughout the race to place 7th overall with a time of 11:43 (9th fastest time in school history).

Owen Van Assche and Xavier Navin each ran one minute plus faster than previous best times.

Also, Rowan Anderson and Austin Tacket had break out performances at the meet. They each dropped more than two minutes off their times.
