Chelsea Community Kitchen and Chelsea Senior Center team up for free cooking classes

Community Kitchen logoChelsea Community Kitchen, in partnership with the Chelsea Area Senior Center, is offering a series of cooking classes focused on ideas for using fresh garden produce.

This “Senior Series” offers one Wednesday class each month from noon-1 p.m. that feature produce from the Intergenerational Garden at the Washington Street Education Center.

  • “Simple Salad Dressings – Made from Scratch” kicks off the series on June 12, taught by Judy Radant.
  • “From the Garden: Cooking in Season” on July 10 by representatives from Tantre Farm.
  • “Chilled Summer Garden Soups” on Aug.14 taught by Peter di Lorenzi.
  • “Late Summer Garden Classics” on Sept.11 taught by Peter di Lorenzi.

Sample tastings will be provided as well as recipe cards and all classes are free.
